I have been in the hair industry since 2002. Taking this path was a career change for me. I hold a Master’s in Counselor Education and previously worked at inner city schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as Denver. In deciding to add some fun into my career, I turned to cosmetology and love the choice I made. I moved to Bellingham in 2004 and worked at an Aveda concept salon for 6 years. Always needing a change, and wanting to combine my education background with my current career as a stylist, I decided to become a licensed cosmetology instructor through the Toni&Guy Hairdressing Academy. I learned so much and loved teaching but missed the creativity and caretaking that happens behind the chair on a daily basis. I am truly excited to be a part of the family at The Grotto Hair Studio!
I value education and have regularly attended a variety of classes and workshops every year since my career began.
